We are proud to say that The Laslett has now been open for two weeks, and everything is going as wonderfully as we had hoped. As is the case with any long journey, we've had our ups and downs - a pot of paint spilling all over the carpet in a perfectly decorated room was a definite down - but everything has finally come together, and The Laslett has already settled into the rhythm of Notting Hill life.
The Henderson Bar has already proved a popular hangout for West London locals. We've worked so hard to make The Laslett feel like an extension of home, and its good to see people treating it just like that. During the day, the warm hum of chatter over coffee and cake fills the library. Some people bring their laptops and find a quiet spot to take advantage of the wi-fi (which is particularly gratifying, because it took weeks to get that wi-fi to work).
In the evening, guests and locals alike relax and enjoy one of our signature cocktails, or else catch up with friends over one of our charcuterie or cheese sharing boards. Its still early days, of course, but we have high hopes that in time, The Laslett will be at the heart of Notting Hill culture - the kind of place that feels like its been there forever.
