At Living Rooms we have always championed the earth, its people, its places and things. While we are not perfect, we are pledging to become as near to it as we can get by further committing to ethical practices and initiatives that positively impact our planet and our communities.
We have partnered with the Carbon Collective to create and plan our decarbonisation goals and implement strategies to achieve our objective to operate efficiently, effectively and most importantly, sustainably.
Linens & Laundry
We work with sustainable commercial laundry service, Oxwash. Oxwash are fully carbon-neutral, covering everything from packaging to fuelling e-cargo bikes and electric vans. Their cleaning methods significantly minimise water and energy consumption while filtering out plastic microfibres, distinguishing them from traditional dry cleaners that use toxic chemicals like 'Perc', already banned in many countries.
In addition we encourage guests to only request linen and towel changes only when necessary.
Guest Amenities
For our in room bath and shower products, we us British skincare brand, Votary. Votary products are organic, vegan and cruelty free and of course their packaging is sustainable!
All rooms and apartments have refillable full-sized Votary products to reduce single use plastics.
Or guest slippers are also biogradable and we have switched to bamboo loo roll.
Food Suppliers
We source the produce for The Henderson Bar & Kitchen from local British suppliers such as Natoora, HG Walter, and Sally Clarke.
Our coffee beans come via organic, ethical company, Cru Kafe while our tea is supplied by the B Corp, certified organic Joe's Tea.
